ПОПУЛЯРНИ ГРУПИ И ТЕПЪРВА ИЗГРЯВАЩИ ЗВЕЗДИ СЕ КАЧИХА НА СЦЕНАТА НА МИНДЯ РОК ФЕСТ ТАЗИ ГОДИНА. За три дни фестивалът събра 15 групи и около 60 музиканти и изпълнители. Баби и внучета с рокаджийска визия, истински рокаджии от цялата страна, моторджии и просто почитатели на пътешествията и фестивалния туризъм дойдоха в търновското село, за да се забавляват в дните на Миндя рок фест. Повече от 5000 души слушаха изпълненията на участниците, които бяха на възраст между 14 и 60 г.
За първи път организаторите бяха поканили и две чуждестранни банди от Сърбия и Турция. Гостите свириха в събота, вечерта по традиция запазена за най-верните приятели на феста – Васко Кръпката и „Подуене блус бенд”. И още нещо, това лято организаторите подариха на публиката вечер, посветена на хевиметъл музиката. Всички банди, които свирят този стил, бяха събрани в петък вечерта. Освен металите тогава свириха и „Хоризонт” и „Рич къмпани”.
„Ние сме за първи път в Миндя. И идваме тук, защото разбрахме, че селото е зона, свободна от политика, нищо че Евгений Дайнов е баш разбирач. Докато свири музика, никой няма пристрастия”, казва Ивайло Петров – Иваца. Той е баскитаристът на „Рич къмпани”. Групата носи името на своя създател Румен Антов – Ричи, по-известен като Ричи Блекмор от „Обеля”.
RICH COMPANY е създадена само преди година и четири месеца в София с идеята за правене само на авторска музика. В групата участват Венелин Цветков – вокал и китара, Румен Антов (Ричи) – китара, Ивайло Петров (Иваца) – бас, и Николай Филипов – ударни. Николай е последният, влязъл в бандата. Колегите му дълго време търсили „своя” барабанист, преди да стартират официално проекта си. Сега четиримата вече пишат авторска музика и записват, като сами финансират парчетата си.
Румен Антов – Ричи е китарист вече повече от 30 г. В момента е най-добрият учител по китара в България. Има 30 ученици, някои от които вече са известни музиканти, пръснати по света.

Неди Младенов, Крис Садовски, Павел Крумов и Мелина Крумова са членовете на групата победител. Мелина е директор на рок училището, млада и изключително талантлива, с невероятно присъствие на сцената. Така старите рокаджии описват дамата, която тази година се оказва голямото откритие на рок фестивала в Миндя.
„Ние сме група от една година. Просто така, събрахме се и започнахме да свирим. Започнахме с парчета на AC\DC и Black Sabbath, но вече пишем авторски песни”, представя групата Неди Младенов. И допълва, че много бързо те са написали пет свои парчета. Самият той е единадесетокласник, ученик в училище, което вече не харесва особено много, затова и няма търпение да завърши. „Уча биология, не знам защо съм я избрал. Сега мечтая за консерваторията и за сцената”, усмихва се тийнейджърът.
Докато момчето представя приятелите си от училището и групата, започва официалното откриване на фестивала. Както всяка година от 2009-а насам, първи на сцената се качват жените от група „Веселина”. Те за първи път са без Ан, англичанката, първа дала идея за създаването на Миндя рок фест. Ан и съпругът й са се върнали в Англия и фестивалът това лято преминава без тяхното колоритно присъствие. Следва речта на кмета на Миндя Иван Иванов за селото и за международното положение в страната.
Официалната част е кратка и на сцената започват да се изреждат метал групите, след тях „Хоризонт” и „Рич къмпани”. В събота е вечерта на Васко Кръпката и „Подуене блус бенд”. Тогава свириха „Блустрафик”, „Силует” и „Магистри”, както и чуждестранните гости от „Атлас”, които идват от Истанбул, и „Когън пикърс” от Белград.
„Идвам тук всяка година, защото обичам музиката, Балкана и да скитам, да пътешествам. Музикантът по принцип е нещо като пътешественик, а и тук е наистина романтично, трогателно, някак човешко.
