То е изградено по проект „Моят дом” и е на стойност 99 128 лв., като безвъзмездната финансова помощ е осигурена от ОП „Развитие на човешките ресурси”. Проектът е с продължителност от 14 месеца. „Освен поддръжката и грижата за потребителите на услугата ще бъдат разкрити и пет щатни работни места за персонала в защитеното жилище”, уточни кметът на община Стражица инж. Детелина Борисова. Тя допълни, че са предвидени средства и за 6 подкрепящи специалисти, които ще бъдат назначени на граждански договори за по три месеца, за да подпомогнат адаптацията на живущите в защитеното жилище.
Това е вторият проект по тази схема на ОП „Развитие на човешките ресурси” в областта. Подобна услуга вече стартира в Горна Оряховица. Във Велико Търново продължава работата по изграждането на три центъра от семеен тип с капацитет 42-ма потребители. В Павликени ще има още три центъра, в два от които потребителите ще са лица в неравностойно положение, но без увреждания. В Елена също се подготвя защитено жилище с капацитет осем души.
